I made a song, "Expiration (Noikorg)" that was released on the Aliens Production compilation, "Hypercommunity". The song was HEAVILY influenced by the iPod game, Grokion ( www.grokion.com ), a Metroid inspired game... for those of you who don't know me, Metroid II - Return of Samus (for the GameBoy) is my favorite game OF ALL TIME. The Metroid series (all 2D side-scrolling, exploratory, action, platformer ones anyway) is above and beyond my ALL TIME favorite video game series... I could go on and on about all the hacked roms and fan/indie made versions of Metroid I've got (and loved)... but I think you get the idea...


Having a game that's almost exactly like Metroid, but not a clone of Metroid that I can carry around in my pocket is heaven in my world...

Back to the soundtrack...

I ended up sending the track to the developers of Grokion. They really really liked it. Enough to contact me shortly after and ask if I would be interested in doing the soundtrack for their Grokion side-project, G.R.I.D., and I jumped at the opportunity.

This is the first soundtrack I've done for a video game, but over the years, I'd love to work on more. Maybe get into sound FX...

There are different "versions" of Noikorg, because it's going to be the Menu song... I was giving them options... they're all cut out of the "Full Version" - This is also the COMPLETE collection of songs that I sent to The Dododomination... chances are they will not use ALL the songs in their game...

Anyway, I had a blast making these songs.

I will make this album available for free download when the game is released. =o)
